THE LOO REDO!

Since my last update post (10 days ago) I've been tiling around the shower/tub. It has been really hard...no lie--my arms have been aching with tiredness each night.  I bought a tile cutter at Lowes instead of renting one it was cheap like $19.  And then I had to buy a diamond tipped bit for my drill to cut the faucet holes...
live and learn, right? I just hope it will be water tight when its all done...some of my grout lines are off...it is what it is!

I still have to grout it I got a pale grey color for the grout...that's going to be fun not...

And I finished off the little shelf with the cubby underneath... it's going to work fine for stashing stuff! I think Ill repaint the handle I thought the oil rubbed bronze would be good ...now I dunno, it sticks out like a sore thumb

The walls are painted and now its time for the 'John' to be purchased and installed!!

and the light fixture is up over where the mirror will go...its the oil rubbed bronze color I plan to tie it all together with the vanity so we'll see how that goes.

here it is before I painted it...remember this?  And I got some cool globes from Habitat store for it...it had some cute globes but one got broken in all the make-over-mayhem!

The wall canvas arrived....however I didn't like the size for the big wall in the living room area..that wall needs something longer and this is the longest canvas they make so I plan to do a grouping of 3 canvases,  so I hung this one in the dining room, sorry the table is covered up with my project supplies---

the 3 canvas grouping is  2) 18 x 24"s and one 32 x 24" so once I decide what I want on the 3 Ill order ...

Meanwhile today my son is here ripping the rest of the old wood off the deck out back...he has promised to help me with a few of the heavier projects...Im thrilled!

Progress, is in progress!

  1. The bathroom looks fabulous! I helped my SIL and daughter do some tiling a couple of years ago, and it wasn't easy! But, oh, boy, the results were amazing. So glad your son is helping you! You've done so much by yourself.

  3. All of it looks great as usual...and help! That's always such a gift. We are resolved to finish our full bath this winter. We totally let it go this summer to do other things...now it's nagging at both of us.

  4. Progress progresses! Faster with the help of that handsome worker there! We had a canvass tryptich made for our long wall ... At Costco, from one of my photos... It works! I'd rather think about that than the time I grouted a shower... Yep, I've done that, nope it wasn't fun! Good luck with your project ...it's coming along great!

    1. Yes he made that rip up look so easy!! I wanted a canvas of about 54 x 30 but they didn't have that size...I could look for one at another printer, I may just do that! I did the grouting yesterday and today I rest!!

  5. Looking great! And very glad to hear you're getting some help with some of it, not that I have any doubt you could do it all on your own.
