White Stuff!

WE had snow! It was late arriving we were looking for it on Tuesday, but it came Tuesday night looks like 3 inches...its cold~

One good thing it brings the birds into better focus, they dont disapear into the foilage...I got that yellow shafted Flicker through the window...there was a small flock around.

I'm having some trouble with the spacing of these photos...but I'm not gonna mess too much the more I mess the worse they get :o(~ so its all over the place! Anyways the Northern cardinal and Blue Jays were busy in the yard,

As well as the chipping sparrows, female cardinals ....

Annie, and a last days Camelia....

Dark eyed Juncos males and females abound, and a few American Goldfinch showed up- for snacks too!!

At least I don't have to look at all the pine needles I have not removed off the front lawn this winter...that's kinda nice!

Course it will still be there when the snow melts, but for now I can imagine its perfect under there...

The mail hasn't run yet, hope the mail person doesn't have an encounter with that icicle!

Annie likes it....and so do I!

  1. A winter wonderland!! Glad it's you and not me! Although, it's been pretty cold down here!

  2. Just be careful out there! It looks beautiful and I appreciate your sharing winter! The birds are indeed wonderful.

  3. It all looks so beautiful in the snow.
I love your bird visitors too. Cardinals and Blue Jays look stunning in the snow.

  4. I would love to be here just for a little while and only one snow fall. :) It looks so beautiful and the birds are just great. Annie seems to be having a ball. Just be careful out there.

  5. Great bird photos! We are so wintry here, but finally warmed up a bit. Yay! We love the room your sister finished and are glad you are mending!

  6. I always said I like snow if I don't have to go anywhere. Unfortunately when I lived in the north, I had to work. Like you, I really loved all the birds that would appear on the feeder that I never saw otherwise. Enjoy the show.

  7. Hi Sondra... Wow you have more snow on the ground then I do!!
    Sure looks pretty though!!
Love your feathered visitors, and the dogs seem to be loving the snow!!

    Stay warm

  8. Winter Wonderland at it's best! Loved all your photos, Sondra. They are so crisp and clear.

  9. Somehow I missed this post.. Love all the snow shots! We got flurries here which is kinda exciting, but certainly no winter wonderland like you. Awesome birds and can't go wrong with a happy dog!

  10. Wonderful shots. I love the one of the mailbox.
