Art Gallery

Before I could write I started to draw! I watched my mom draw figure 8 rats n cats on notebook paper while I sat on her lap and imitated what she drew.  I was immediately imprinted with the desire to be creative.  I have never been  excellent at it, but I have always loved trying I was  happy just to draw I found that applying color disturbed the creative process...but I have given it a try..using oil, acrylics, pens, pastels, watercolors, and paper collages! Art is anything you have created!! This is not a complete "gallery" but just the few Ive photographed and added some to my art set on Flickr.

So I wanted to go to college and study art - but thats NOT what happened.  So I just draw for me.  I have dabbled in digital art & graphic design and had some success with that sold 2 fabric lines that were produced in 2010.

I also enjoy scrap booking--most of the time my "memory" books as I call them are Not the typical Scrapbooks...they are always filled with lots of photos and transcripts of my trip essays or diaries.  I just enjoy savoring the moment--the state of mind I was in when I was on my journey.

I am in the process of creating some scrapbook pages that are for sharing--and I will be adding more as I create them  If you want to download the scrapbook pages-here is the link to the TIFF files so you can use them in WORD as well as most Photo shop applications.  They are not in layers of course...You will have to add your photos digitally or print the page and paste your photos onto the page-- The original size is 8.5 x 11 so you may need to resize before printing..here is a slide show of the collection I call
Into the Woods,,,you can download them, for personal use only please enjoy and just give me a credit, SHickman Designs,
