I'm assuming that the Eurasian Wigeon is one of these, its looks similar in photos. We went over to Slimbridge Wildfowl reserve http://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/slimbridge/, the other week and saw lots.
I think that once you're retired you often think "How did we manage to find the time to work" and at the moment you have many calls on your time. Some baby monitors have a camera which may be useful with your Mom.
I had the water pump go once and as the drive belts are also connected to the power steering the car was nearly impossible to drive at low speeds. Those Ford Fairlines are iconic, I love cars from that era, but totally impractical by today's standards.
I remember those boots, but fashion is very cyclical, and similar styles are still seen today.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01047342243577979820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5569287982426382052.post-71867405249635777212017-02-28T13:30:49.330-05:002017-02-28T13:30:49.330-05:00I liked your story (And BTW, I'm too old to be...I liked your story (And BTW, I'm too old to be a baby boomer, but not too old to remember the Beatles and styles of the 60s. Although personally I spent most of them in maternity clothes or diapering babies.)

I feel sad that your mom can't be persuaded to let the baby monitor do its work; that would make it so much easier for you and your sis. Drat.

The shed looks good. Love the skylight. I figured you were getting settled, did you get to go into Maine as you had planned? Hope so. We will do everything in our power to help Mom, the memory problems/dementia have been a challenge she just is not thinking soundly and her judgement is off so she doesn't understand the threat of her trying to get up without help. Even in a nursing facility, they fall, and then we'd be getting the call from them! It's just a day by day challenge. My sis said she thinks this fall could set her recovery from the broken arm back a Month!! She was getting strong enough to do many of the small things in her daily grooming, now she is back to square one on that with the big skin tear, a wound has to be kept dry for a while or it will not heal properly. Poor little lady how hard it must be for her to realize she can no longer do for herself. Yes life is drifting by for all concerned. When I took care of dad he wasn't in such bad shape but knew when to ask me for help. Love you all for what you are trying to do to keep you mom at home. But as she keeps falling the injuries may get so much worse. Know that I am always thinking of you.

The shed is coming along nicely.

You would think by know that Verizon would learn that they are starting to lose lots of business and start lowing the prices.

Love the story about your go go boots. My dad never cared what the latest fashion was, he wasn't going to buy it because everyone else had it. Of course the motto... If they all jumped off a bridge are you going to follow them?JOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05658713978278693047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5569287982426382052.post-7938622220751248602017-02-25T12:15:01.856-05:002017-02-25T12:15:01.856-05:00That's quite a story! I've been in a blogging funk, so this weekend I'm trying to catch up. I see I've missed a lot! Good luck with your shed! Yesterday, we had a Couch's Kingbird in the yard, and early, early this morning, I heard him again. New yard bird! We're at the northern fringes of south Texas, so don't always see those south Texas specialty birds. I was pretty excited!
