March-ing on

The weather continues to be less than expected so no outings to cover, just regular stuff in my life..
Our closest neighbor was spying on us, he tried to hide, but I yelled

"dude I can totally see you..."

He wears this blue blanket on bad days seems he has had it on all winter..

A couple of tips for the other DIY' ers in the blogsphere...

If you have some cool scrapes you love and you don't have enough to fit your project, like this stool top, I had these old tapestry scrapes, sew a band on 2 of the opposite ends the same size as your center piece, then across the other ends sew  pieces that fits end to end, easy peasy!

When I have things like these cup hooks to paint, I find it easy to stick them in cardboard and then you can spray paint 360 degrees around.

Project house news:

Finally I'm painting the ceiling we put up....this is the priming coat, It will look better with the top coat...

I HOPE..lol

AND the old kitchen cabinets are finally stained and painted, there will be more work in the kitchen...but this bank of cabinets is done! (excuse the spots on the lens)

This is a more dramatic look than was in here before...

New Life to old stuff

This part is done the counter top and back splash will be next in this area but now Im deep into painting...ceilings and walls. It's coming together!

Eleanor Roosevelt: You must do the thing you think you can not.

  1. Love the horse e minds me of Fred when he thinks he's hiding from around the coffee table. Your painting is coming along nicely and I like the hardware on the cabinets. Yes your getting there

  2. Love the stool top - very classy. The cabinets look great. I bet it's nice to be able to fill them.

  3. You are doing the greatest job! Way to go. Boggles my mind that you can find time to work on crafts at all with all else you have going on. Be careful up there on that ladder.

  4. I love making old new again! My dad and I fixed up an old house together in the 90's and I refreshed all the old. It was my favorite part of the house! While it was a big job and a lot of work, it wasn't quite as much as what you're doing! I'm so proud of you.

  5. More excellent progress Sondra. Looks like a designer kitchen now.

  6. Wow, the cabinets look fantastic!

  7. What a great job you're doing. I love the advice on spray painting the cup hooks.

  8. You are making such great progress! It's looking fabulous and what a great way to use your scraps. I love the stool cover!
