...a little snow must fall

We had snow this past weekend...soggy wet and heavy.  It snowed for about 6 hours, started out as rain then turned to snow about 4 am...then it kept snowing till about 3 pm.

The big pines kept lots of it from hitting the ground, so the dogs had some areas to go where they didn't have to deal with the snow...Casey balked at the door so I had to put his coat on and go out with him...Brrr it was so cold, nothing colder that a damp wet cold.  It was right at 32 when I went out with him. I lost most of my photos so here is a video of the snow..

This Camilla has been blooming profusely for about 2 months now, I hope this cold spell doesn't deter it from continuing!

there is something about seeing flowers in snow it is kinda sad, but they don't seem to mind it too much..

So since I'm stuck indoors in inclimate weather think I'll begin to make my plans...JIC I do get to take my trip...now I'm dealing with some health issues,

I had to have a Heart Catherization done last Thursday so no work for a while either...I'm kind of bummed out and a little depressed about it, but what can one do except like I said, catch that cow pie and toss it back, or substitute a snow ball!

  1. You've had some extremes of weather lately but hopefully at this time of year the snow wont last long.
Sorry to hear about your health issues, thats the last thing you want. Maybe get the maps out and the guide books and do some planning and hope that it takes your mind off things.
    All the best.

    1. That is exactly what I've been doing! It's hard to fill in a day when I can't get busy on my DIY projects....hopefully by the end of the week I will be able to get moving again,,,,the procedure site on my leg is pretty bruised and sore!

  2. Oh I hope all goes well health wise now. Yes start you planning for your road trip that should be lots of enjoyment. And I bet with all your artistic talents you can create something fun to look at. Do I dare say the picture sure looks pretty from here where we are already in the stinking 90's.

    1. Oh No really 90, i predict a hot summer! We are still having a revisit of winter tonight it will be in the mid 20's overnight!!
I have had to redraw the lines of original plan since I had planned to be long by now...with Mom breaking her arm and 3 weeks of progress lost and now this health issue it won't be what I had originally planned. I've got my sights on TX and NM. Originally it was going to be UT, and AZ too.

  3. Oh no -- I wrote my comment just a second ago on your earlier post; now I feel insensitive for saying 'go on that trip." Crap. I didn't realize about the bad weather nor of course about your health problems. Get well soon. I do hope you get well asap.

    1. I thought of saying nothing about my health issue, because really nothing can be said to change it, but I don't know how it will affect my life long term so may as well not be living in denial! I hope to go about my life as normally as possible once the aftermath of the procedure is over and healed. I have a FB friend we are related via marriage (her husband is a distant relative to me)...but when I went to see her for the very first time, I was so shocked when I saw she was in a wheel chair, she had kept that a secret. I did not have any less an opinion of her I don't treat her any differently, but it kinda bothered me that she withheld honesty. She is more open now and I think I like her even more!

    2. It's really hard for me to talk to people about health issues -- mine or Bill's. I was raised that way.... hard to get over it, but I'm trying. The trick is balance between talking about things and whining like some old people do. I hope you are doing OK, that the camellia survived and that your snow is melting. Take care.

    3. exactly....I normally deal with injuries, it's not the same thing as admitting there is something Wrong that time won't fix. So far I've gotten nothing for my trouble except lots of bills!
